Accessibility statement

Healthcare information needs to reach everyone. We design and build this site so that people using assistive technology, low vision, motor impairments, or cognitive differences can use it just as easily as anyone else.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across this corporate site. WCAG AA is the international benchmark for accessible web design and the standard referenced in Australian digital service guidance.

Accessibility features on this site

  • Keyboard navigation: Every interactive element can be reached and activated with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link is available at the top of every page.
  • Screen readers: Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, navigation, article, footer), proper heading order, and descriptive alt text for images.
  • Reduced motion: If you have prefers-reduced-motion enabled in your operating system, scroll-triggered animations and smooth scroll are disabled.
  • Colour contrast: Body text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Resizable text: The site is built with relative units, so text resizes cleanly in your browser without breaking layout.
  • Active page indicator: The current page is signalled in the navigation by an underline and by the aria-current attribute for assistive technology.
  • Mobile and touch: The site is fully responsive from 320px viewport widths upward.

Known limitations

We test regularly but no site is ever finished. Areas we're aware of:

  • Some embedded brand assets (logos sourced from external sites) are PNG bitmaps without ideal contrast on every background. We're transitioning these to SVG over time.
  • Insight posts written by our clinical team are reviewed for plain English, but specialised clinical terminology is sometimes unavoidable.

Reporting an accessibility issue

If you encounter something that's hard to use, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports the same as any other priority issue. Email accessibility@mydigitalhealth.com.au with:

  • The URL of the page where you encountered the issue.
  • What you were trying to do.
  • The assistive technology, browser, and device you were using.

We aim to acknowledge your report within two business days and to resolve confirmed issues within 30 days where reasonably practicable.

Alternative ways to reach us

If the website is not accessible to you for any reason, you can contact us by email at hello@mydigitalhealth.com.au. We're also happy to take questions by post on request.
